Today, we’re joining International Museum Day and museums around the world to celebrate during its 40th anniversary.

Although the Museum has been temporarily closed since March, our Museum team has still been busy behind the scenes! A special thank you to our team for all their hard work in keeping SMoCA in tip-top shape. We look forward to welcoming you all back soon. In the meantime, check out what we’ve been up to.

With Inspire, we hope to cultivate a space where we can continue to inspire a dialogue about contemporary art through curated conversations presented digitally. We have also been offering how-tos, virtual experiences, and in-depth looks at the SMoCA Collection. At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, hope and generosity is bringing people of all backgrounds together across the globe. Despite the challenging repercussions of COVID-19, we want to ensure that the arts remain an integral part of your life, now and when we can safely return to in-person experiences, through programming that inspires connection, creativity, and wonder.  

Even in times of uncertainty, we’ll never stop making, creating, sharing, and believing in the power of art to change lives. We’re doing the best we can, but for us to maintain the people power necessary to bring you another season of world-class dance, music, and visual art, we need your help.
