Join us for the opportunity to hear Jim Morris, President of Pixar Animation Studios, give a behind-the-scenes breakdown of the creative, technical and production process Pixar used to create the film Inside Out. A reception at nearby Tilt Gallery will follow the event.
Morris oversees all of the company’s productions and operations. He has been with Pixar since 2005 supervising features, shorts, DVD content and theme park activities, in addition to Pixar’s Studio Tools, Systems, Development and Human Resources. Morris, who became president in 2014, produced the Academy Award-winning feature WALL•E and films such as Ratatouille, Up, Toy Story 3, Cars 2, Brave, Monsters University, The Good Dinosaur and Finding Dory have been under his supervision of Pixar Animation Studios.
Before joining Pixar, Morris was president at Lucas Digital LTD., where he managed Lucasfilm Animation, Skywalker Sound and Industrial Light and Magic (ILM), which created the visual effects for films such as Jurassic Park and Forrest Gump. Other notable projects completed under his management at Lucasfilm Ltd. include Mission: Impossible, Twister, Saving Private Ryan, Death Becomes Her, Star Wars: Episodes I and II, The Perfect Storm, Pearl Harbor, Minority Report, Pirates of the Caribbean, Master and Commander and three Harry Potter films.
