SMoCA presents two days of workshops for women-identified art handlers, artists, and art lovers. All skill levels are welcome to learn with Level It: Women’s Art Handlers Network. Expert instructors, Jes Gettler and Alexa Anderson, will teach hands-on, industry-related skills, and share their mission of leveling opportunity in the art world. Saturday’s workshops will cover fine art handling, packing, conservation, and installation. Sunday’s workshops will focus on fabrication, woodshop skills, safety, and scissor lift training. Sign up for one day or immerse yourself in both days.
Jes Gettler is the chief preparator at the Henry Art Gallery in Seattle, Washington.
Alexa Anderson is preparator at Seattle Art Museum.
