The Art of Mindfulness: Living in the Moment
Saturday, Sept. 15, 10:30 – 11:45 a.m.
In our busy lives, we may find it difficult to relax and enjoy the moment. Even while doing things we like, it can be hard to be present — we are constantly making plans for the future, worrying about what might happen next or find ourselves never truly feeling content. In this class, learn how mindfulness of acceptance can bring peace into every moment.
The Art of Mindfulness: Mindfulness of Joy
Saturday, Sept. 22, 10:30 – 11:45 a.m.
It is easy to allow our mind to focus in ways that are contradictory to our basic wish to be happy. This class explores teachings and meditations that enable us to keep a positive mindset and overcome negative thoughts, such as jealousy, competitiveness and discouragement.
The Art of Mindfulness: Mindfulness of Gratitude
Saturday, Sept. 29, 10:30 -11:45 a.m.
We can get so stuck focusing on the negative that we often forget to appreciate all the benefits we receive from those around us. Learn how by maintaining an awareness of the subtle kindnesses of others in our life, we can keep a positive outlook that will in turn allow us to become more well disposed toward others and protect us from unhappy thoughts.
