Join us as we celebrate SMoCA’s newest exhibitions during this livestreamed virtual opening! You will hear from director and chief curator, Jennifer McCabe, and we will introduce you to our brand-new exhibitions with exclusive content from artists and curators. So, let’s come together virtually to celebrate!

Poet Eva Sierra will be performing an original piece inspired by our spring exhibition Division of Labor: Women Shifting a Transnational Gaze live during our virtual opening.

Eva Sierra is a queer, bilingual poet and author from Douglas, Arizona. Her writing reflects identity and culture, childhood, mental health, and the realities and beauties of living on the border to Sonora, Mexico. She has worked at Spoken Futures coordinating the Tucson Youth Poetry Slam, and is currently the director of The Reading Series program based in Tucson.
