SMoCA’s Openings happen three times per year in fall, spring and summer. These events are free and open to the general public.
SMoCA typically features 2–5 exhibitions each season that change roughly every three months during fall, spring and winter. Check the current exhibitions. SMoCA also houses a permanent James Turrell Skyspace in its outdoor courtyard that can be accessed during museum hours.
Most of the exhibitions at SMoCA are both appropriate and recommended for children and families; however, occasionally we do show artworks with adult content. When this is the case, we inform visitors with signage in the Museum lobby and galleries. Interested in a family friendly tour? Contact us.
A wheelchair is available for Museum visitors to borrow. Wall texts in large print are available at our front retail desk.
SMoCA is closed on major holidays and Mondays.
